A touring exhibition of colourful photographs from Nepal called ALL COLOURS OF NEPAL can now be seen in Papírna in Cheb. Large format pictures are for sale and the profit will be used for the construction of another bamboo school in a remote and very poor area in Nepal.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition took place on Friday 3rd October 2014 in the presence of the patron of the exhibition the duke Karel Schwarzenberg. During the opening ceremony people could taste Nepalese cuisine, listen to the presentation of Dr. Tomáš Beránek called WHAT´S THE LIFE IN NEPAL LIKE, watch a film by D. Svárovský THE LIFE OF A TAMANG or buy some Nepalese products in our NEPALESE SHOP. The exhibition runs until 20th October 2014. For more information look here.
Selling exhibition of votive items and colourful photographs from Nepal THE LAND BELOW THE HIMALAYAS started on Thursday 11th September 2014 in the Cultural Centre in Postřelmov by the opening ceremony with the presentation of Dr. T. Beránek called WHAT´S THE LIFE IN NEPAL LIKE. The profit will be used for the construction of another school for poor Nepalese children. The exhibition runs until 17th Oct 2014. The bamboo school and other activities of Namaste Nepal will be presented in the morning programme in the Egrensis radio on 24th Jul 2014. Presented in the programme will be Dipendra Lama from our partner organization DCWC who is visiting the Czech Republic at this time.
On 8th June 2014 the parliamentary delegation of the Czech Republic with the Foreign Committee chairman Karel Schwarzenberg visited our Bamboo school in Bal Prativa. The delegation members were impressed by the discipline of the local children and they appreciated the perfect presentation lesson given by our volunteer. More info from the Embassy here.
NEPALESE AND TIBETAN CENTRE YAK YETI at Chodská 22, Prague 2 had to close down on 21st May 2014 due to technical reasons. At the moment we are looking for new premises to continue our project, including the YAK RESTAURANT with traditional specialities of the Nepalese and Tibetan cuisine and the NEPALESE SHOP.
For the third time we have managed to prepare a picnic for Nepalese pupils. Nepalese schools in the mountains are very simple and they can´t afford such luxuries as a school canteen. So from time to time we invite children to have lunch in the open air.
